8^th District – Looking for some Halloween fun with family and friends? There are plenty of opportunities to celebrate across the 8^th District today and throughout the weekend! From fall festivals and trunk-or-treats to spooky celebrations and candy trails, check out these local events happening in our communities.

Friday, Oct. 23

• Solomon Elementary Fall Fest | 4-7 p.m.

Location: Hannah G. Solomon Elementary School, 6206 N. Hamlin Ave., Chicago

State Senator Ram Villivalam, alongside State Representative Kevin Olickal and trusted local organizations such as the Indo-American Center, are hosting a virtual Know Your Rights Community Briefing.

The event will be hosted on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m., and will feature presentations on your rights, emergency family planning, resources and support available, as well as immigration policy updates.
